Hi. I’m Kayla. This is my blog.
I look like this on good days:
Don’t ask how I look on bad days. I earn my meager income by making sandwiches and generally being awesome at your local Subway. Subway>Quizno’s. No contest.
I originally started this site to get a foot in the door for freelance editing. That has turned into my diary/portfolio/resume-keeper/life all in one. If you are here to learn about what I do and what line of work I’d like to end up in, go to “The road to success” link. And let me know what you think! I’m always looking for input. Also, technology and I tend to not get along…
…So if you have advice on how to fix something, I may need help. Don’t judge me.
I believe that almost every problem in the world could be solved if people actually got up off their couches and applied themselves. I’d rather be too cold than too hot. I have an acute sense of paranoia, and walk out to my car at night with my keys in between my fingers like a crazy person. One of my favorite feelings in the whole wide world is when I get something done without being told to do it.
My life revolves around the library, the people I love, and Netflix. I would rather have friends based on quality than quantity. I have an untreated case of OCD, and love cleaning. Sometimes faith and good music is all that gets me through the day. If you could mix Daniel Tosh, Dwight Schrute, and Stewie Griffin together, I am convinced that he would be the superhero of the comedy world.
Generally, I prefer:
- pop to coffee
- trucks to cars
- vanilla to chocolate
- Ellen to Oprah
- gravel roads to highways
- dogs to cats
- plain to fancy
- hoodies to coats
- beer to girl drinks
- driving to flying
- animals to people
- swimming pools to oceans
- ice cream to cake
- snow to rain
- books versions to movie versions
- gloves to mittens
- small towns to big cities
- water to tea
- black to white
and anything–anything at all, to running.
